Mill House Caravan & Camping Site's History
History dating back to the 1700s states that Mill House originated as a farm that was attached to the original mill, which is currently still present and standing next to the bridge as you enter the large camping field.
1940s: Mill House extended its business venture and opened its fields to camping enthusiasts and touring caravans. As camping and the outdoor life started to grow, Mill House introduced a small selection of static caravans.
1970s: Frank and Joy Ellaway purchased the land and Mill House to continue to grow the camping facilities. They soon attracted people from all over the country and even Europe, travelling through Worcester.
1982: Frank and Joy had the addition of the site shop and café built, offering its visitors groceries, hot food and beverages.
2001: Brought the brand new toilet and shower block to the site, which offered its visitors hot washing up facilities and hot showers. Sadly both Joy and Frank have now passed away, Joy in 2007 and Frank in 2016.
2016 – 2023: Mill House is now owned by Glynis, Joy & Frank's daughter. Glynis and her daughter Gemma run and manage the operations of the site.
2023 - Present: David & Lisa Cunningham purchase Mill House.
